About me

My name is Santiago Mazzola. I hail from Córdoba, Argentina, but my journey has woven through different corners of the world, each leaving a mark on my photography. For over four decades, Valencia, Venezuela, was my home before destiny led me to Florida, USA, in 2014.

Photography found me at a tender age of 15, sparked by sheer curiosity ignited by my father's Asahi Pentax SLR. What began as experiments in our garden capturing nature's wonders—birds in flight, the endless sea—soon evolved into a lifelong passion. However, it wasn't until a little over a decade ago that I dared to explore the art of composition and storytelling within each frame. Fuelled by a thirst for knowledge, I devoured every resource that promised to refine my craft and elevate my photographic journey.

The advent of smartphones marked a turning point, making photography more accessible and enabling me to seize every fleeting moment with what I like to call my "magical framing."

Today, armed with a Sony Alpha mirrorless camera, I strive to encapsulate scenes and emotions that resonate deeply with me. You can find my visual chronicles on Instagram under the handle @mazzolaphotolife—a platform where each photo tells a story, reflecting the essence of the life I lead.

My photographic journey has been entirely self-taught, a path I traverse joyfully with every click of the shutter.
